Toddler Program (16 months to 33 months)

As toddlers begin to trust their caregivers and environment, Early Education Montessori and Child Care Center helps each child master their physical environment while maintaining self-esteem. During this time of early development, toddlers gain more control over their bodies, learn new skills, and develop autonomy. Early Education Montessori and Child Care Center's Toddler Program seeks to facilitate toddler growth, psychosocial development, and early learning.

Our Toddler Program provides a secure and tender atmosphere for children. The learning environment is well-furnished with age appropriate and safe equipment.  Within the classroom, the children have access to small, cozy areas so that they feel secure and comfortable.  There are also large spacious areas specified for large muscle movement.

Toddlers are active learners. As a result, lessons are designed to incorporate story time, singing and dancing, arts and crafts, meals and naptime. Through activities that encourage their sense of sight, sound, and touch, toddlers absorb the ideas of the world around them. Each child is encouraged to enjoy the facilities and materials as an individual or within group play. Staff also guide each child in language development, helping each child express his or her own voice.

Learning is further encouraged through playful monthly themes and activities.

Preschool Program (3 years to 5 years)

During this time of early development, children continue to develop their independence and take initiative in exploring the world around them. Children engage and cooperate with others, broaden their play and imagination skills, and build their foundation for learning.

Our Preschool program incorporates the Montessori method and fun, hands-on learning. Each of the three large rooms is thoughtfully designed to meet the learning and developmental needs of our children. Playrooms facilitate imaginative play, creativity through music and art, and exercise through large muscle movement. Extra curricular activities include on-site gymnastics lessons.

The Montessori room encourages thoughtful work. Age-appropriate Montessori materials address nine important learning areas:

  • Practical life
  • Sensorial
  • Geography
  • History
  • Language
  • Math
  • Science
  • Art
  • Music

Additionally, reading and writing are encouraged when the young learner is ready. Our children have the freedom to learn at an individual pace, the confidence to ask questions, and the security to work in a non-competitive environment. We provide the early education necessary to develop a love for learning.

Kindergarten Program

Early Education Montessori and Child Care Center offers a half day or a full day Kindergarten program. Kindergartners advance further through the Montessori method with an emphasis on strengthening reading and writing skills.
